About Me

Hi everyone, I’m Sylvia (she/her).

 

I am a mum-of-two from Ireland who lives in south-east London and has worked as an NHS nurse for more than 10 years.

 

Practising yoga helped me prepare for birth, both mentally and physically. It was a transformative experience, and I knew I wanted to support and encourage women to listen to and trust their bodies during pregnancy, labour and birth. ​

I chose to train with YogaBirth as I wanted to do an in-depth training with experienced teachers. I studied for a year and loved learning about all the incredible ways pregnancy yoga can nurture and support you throughout pregnancy.

I believe having a positive birth experience, no matter how you give birth, can help you feel strong, capable and confident as you journey into parenthood, and I feel incredibly lucky and privileged I get to support people through this time.
