I am a mum of two, and my journey through motherhood has deeply shaped the way I support women and families. I hold a heartfelt passion for childbirth as a powerful, transformative experience, and I believe every birthing person deserves to feel held, supported, and truly empowered as they prepare to welcome new life.

I trained with the amazing Nicola Goodall from Red Tent doulas and I am also a qualified Yogabirth teacher. Birthwork is my calling and I took great care and time in choosing where to learn these skills from. I have met many great mentors who have been working in the birth world for many years. I learn from them continually and bring this knowledge into my work as a doula.

My approach is intuitive, gentle, and grounded in trust — trust in the body, the baby, and the innate wisdom we all carry. I aim to create a calm, sacred space where you feel safe to soften, to ask questions, and to connect with your inner strength and intuition throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early days of parenthood.

Alongside my work as a doula, I am also a qualified YogaBirth teacher. This allows me to weave together movement, breath, relaxation, and mindful awareness to support both the physical and emotional journey of birth. Through this holistic approach, I support you in feeling connected, confident, and empowered, honouring your unique path into parenthood.

Last remaining spaces for birth and postnatal doula support for 2026- I intentionally take on a very limited number of families at any one time. This allows me to be fully present and to give my full energy and focus to each family I work with, offering deeply personalised and continuous support. By honouring this balance, I am able to show up with clarity, calm, and devotion for every birth I attend.

I live in South-East London and can work across London and the South East. I cover Lewisham, Greenwich, Dulwich, Kent, Bromley and lots of other areas!

Testimonial

"Sylvia was totally amazing! I tried to have a home birth with my first but it didn’t work out - so I had some worries and concerns around the birth I was planning with my second.

In the run up to my labour Sylvia was on the phone / message - ready to respond whenever I needed her. During the birth she listened quietly and responded to anything I needed. We had decided to wait until the final moments to call the midwives and my husband was putting my daughter to bed. Sylvia made the call (with me) exactly when to bring everyone in perfectly for the final part when my son was ready to come.

I didn’t need any pain relief as Sylvia was able to hold me and press together my back during contractions. It took a while for my placenta to arrive after birth and Sylvia was able to support and reassure me to deliver it calmly."

A 5-Week Journey to Support, Calm, and Community

This yoga course offers more than movement — it’s an opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with other people who are travelling a similar path.

Each session blends soothing breathwork, mindful movement, and deeply restorative relaxation to support you physically and emotionally through pregnancy and prepare for birth and postpartum. The postures and movements we do are positions many people find themselves doing during labour. When we slow down and go inward, we move more intuitively and can listen to what our bodies and babies need.

But it’s also about something bigger.

These five weeks give you the chance to get to know one another, share experiences, and begin building the supportive “village” every parent deserves. Many people leave not just feeling calmer, but with friendships that continue far beyond pregnancy.

What Makes This Course Special

•Each sessions is 75 minutes, this gives us time for a cup of tea and a chat, sometimes about a topic related to pregnancy and birth, but not always. It’s a nice feeling being pregnant together. Crossing the threshold of motherhood brings lots of ups and downs. Coming together in this non-judgemental space is hugely empowering.

•Birth Education- I am a YogaBirth teacher and also a doula, birth education is woven into the classes. You are welcome to contact me with any questions or worries you might have.

• Slow, supportive yoga suitable for all trimesters and all experience levels

• A warm, welcoming group environment designed to help you find your community
